Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Michigan State | After making the F4, MSU brings back a bunch of pieces and adds some good ones too in Watts & Hall. Winston is poised for a great year. |
| Kentucky | UK brings back a sophomore front and backcourt while bringing in the #2 class in the country. This team is going to have a lot of length. |
| Duke | They bring back Tre Jones (who was great) and add the #1 class in the nation headlined by Carey and Moore. Will be interesting to see them. |
| Louisville | Return all the important pieces while adding Williamson and Igiehon. This team will be dangerous come March. |
| Florida | Return Nembhard and add in the best grad transfer and 5-stars Scottie Lewis and Tre Mann. Will compete for an SEC title. |
| Kansas | Interesting lineup to watch. with one of the best centers in the country and a question mark with De Souza. Let's see if Dotson can improve. |
| Maryland | Loaded sophomores with Cowan, Smith, and Wiggins back while adding Marial and Mitchell. Whether MD lives up to expectations is still a ? |
| Gonzaga | Quite the young team the Zags have compared to previous years. Backcourt is still a thing to look out for but frontcourt should be solid. |
| North Carolina | They did lose most of their stars from last year, however, Cole Anthony will be a star and Bacot should be good. We'll just have to wait. |
| Villanova | Swider and Slater return and they add 5-star Robinson-Earl. Success will depend on when Antoine can get healthy and suit up. |
| Memphis | On paper, this team should be very good, but with a new coach and 4 freshmen starters(?), I'm curious how well they'll play out. |
| Oregon | Pritchard returns along with Okoro and they add one of the best classes in the nation. Success will depend on when Dante can play. |
| Virginia | Return some solid players in Key, Clark, and Diakite. The question is whether or not the incoming freshmen can perform. |
| Ohio State | Return experienced and good pieces with the Wessons and Muhammad while adding a great class. Could be a team to look out for in March. |
| Seton Hall | They might be too high, but, star Myles Powell is coming back and should continue to dominate so I'll just have to wauit and see. |
| Texas Tech | As with previous years, I've learned its not best to underestimate Chris Beard's teams, and with a solid class incoming, they should be good |
| Arizona | Should have one of the best backcourts in the country with Mannion & Green. The question is whether the other pieces can contribute |
| Washington | Should be talked about more. Add in a pair of 5-star big men and a starter with Quade Green and you got a formidable lineup. |
| Baylor | This team should be pretty deep top to bottom and with Tristan Clark coming back, Baylor should be pretty solid. |
| Auburn | Returning some really nice players in Purifoy, McLemore, Wiley, and McCormick while adding players like Okoro. Watch out for Auburn. |
| LSU | Add Trendon Watford to a lineup that has Smart, Mays and Williams and you got a team that should do some damage. |
| Xavier | Keep an eye on Marshall, they bring back some good players from last year and add a slew of 4stars. Xavier could compete for a conf title. |
| Utah State | Bring back nearly everyone from last year's tournament squad. They'll be experienced and tough to play against. |
| Saint Mary's | I don't really know how good or bad this team could be, but on paper they should make the tournament and be good. |
| Illinois | Should be on a lot more lists. They bring back everyone from last year and add Kofi and defense with Hamlin. Sleeper team to look out for. |
