Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kentucky | They beat #1. Simple as that. |
| Duke | Beat #2. Simple as well. |
| Louisville | Good conference win against Miami. |
| Michigan State | Loss to #2 early on shouldn't push you down too much. |
| Kansas | Loss to #4 shouldn't push you down too much in the rankings. |
| Maryland | Didn't play anyone like Louisville did so they'll need to be bumped to make room. |
| North Carolina | Good win over Notre Dame + a road game win at a mid-major. |
| Villanova | Win over Army is enough for me. |
| Florida | Loss to FSU puts them in the bottom of the top 10. |
| Gonzaga | Played against two cupcakes. Didn't see anything that would make them better than UNC or others yet. |
| Seton Hall | Decent defeat over Wagner and Stony Brook. |
| Virginia | Sloppy Syracuse win. Therefore I'll move them back a spot |
| Texas Tech | When you play no body I keep you where you are unless someone in front of you moves down or up or someone behind you moves up. |
| Oregon | Played good teams and won. |
| Memphis | Same as Texas Tech. |
| Utah State | Moved up due to Baylor. |
| Ohio State | Moving up due to Baylor loss. |
| Saint Mary's | Good win over Wisconsin. |
| Xavier | Played no one that would prove they are a better team but they should be ahead of a team that just entered. |
| Washington | Defeated Baylor in a great game. |
| Arizona | Played no one of importance yet. |
| LSU | Good game against Bowling Green. They played a good game against a solid MAC opponent and should move up as others fall. |
| Baylor | Lost to Washington but too far in the rankings to knock them out. |
| VCU | Not a great game against North Texas, but they might also be a good team. I'll give it to the LSU game to figure out VCU. |
| Texas | Next 5: Colorado, Oregon State, Tennessee, Marquette, Penn State |
