Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | (+1) Haven't faltered yet, not the undisputed #1 but have the best claim to it in my opinion. |
| Louisville | (+3) Haven't really played anyone but have blown up everyone they have played |
| North Carolina | (+3) I think Cole Anthony is the best player, which is good because UNC relies on him a lot. |
| Michigan State | (-1) Good win against Seton Hall but their loss to UK does look worse now |
| Kansas | (-1) Shattering win against Monmouth but I do think they are worse than the teams I have ahead of them |
| Maryland | (+1) They've lived up to the hype so far this year |
| Gonzaga | (+1) Texas A&M isn't great but going into their stadium and beating them by 30 is quite the statement. |
| Ohio State | (+8) One of the best wins of the year, destroying a solid Villanova team and establishing themselves as the most likely 2 sport champions |
| Arizona | (+12) One of the large surprises of the year for me, they destroy everyone they play and look very revitalized. |
| Kentucky | (-9) Hard to rank, they have very high upside but clearly are inconsistent, we'll see if they continue to stumble or not |
| Oregon | (+3) Good win over a Memphis team that is hard to rank without their best player. |
| Virginia | (-2) Still have a stifling defense, only dropping a little because I did a little ranking restructuring. |
| Texas Tech | (-4) Texas Tech is good enough that their game against Louisville will be must watch TV |
| Seton Hall | (-3) Barely losing to MSU is still pretty good, and they got a solid win over Saint Louis too. |
| Auburn | (+4) Scary game against South Alabama but a win's a win. |
| Utah State | (+1) Playing garbage teams and running up the score is Gonzaga's game |
| Memphis | (-5) Without Wiseman it's still unclear where they will fall but he might come back to, lots of uncertainty |
| Xavier | (+0) Two wins this week but two very scary wins for Mountaineers fans |
| Baylor | (+4) Got some confidence because they didn't lost and lots of teams around them lost. |
| Texas | (NR) Good win over Purdue looks a little worse but they've looked solid in every other game too |
| VCU | (NR) I took VCU out for barely beating North Texas but LSU is a good enough win to bring them back in |
| Colorado | (NR) Have only played two games but looked surprisingly solid in them |
| Tennessee | (NR) Great win over Washington where they looked solidly better, Barnes has managed to help this team not fall drastically off |
| Oklahoma | (NR) Two solid wins over Minnesota and Oregon St so far, a good surprise so far this year |
| Evansville | (NR) They have one of the best wins now and they haven't lost to anyone |
