Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Louisville | (+1) Welcome to the top, don't let me down |
| Duke | (+1) Struggled a bit with Georgia State but turned it on in the 2nd half. Should have no issues beating Cal |
| Michigan State | (+1) Great win @Seton Hall last week. Probably the easiest week left on their schedule coming up |
| Gonzaga | (+2) Jumping them over Kansas for now, I dont think aTm is going to be all that good but a 30 point road win is a 30 point road win |
| Kansas | (-) Nothing much going on this week. Nice dunk by that Monmouth kid though |
| Virginia | (+3) They jump UNC for me. Lost so much talent but god damn does Tonyball work wonders |
| Kentucky | (-6) I'm going to chalk the Evansville loss to a classic case of looking past an opponent after a big game.. but the poor areas need fixing |
| North Carolina | (-1) Cole Anthony is really good. Need to get healthy and secondary options need to step up w/o Cole on the court badly |
| Ohio State | (+3) Might be the best performance of any team all year. I think they played near perfectly so I'm not gonna go too crazy but a small bump |
| Maryland | (-) Not much going on, still coached by Mark Turgeon so that's a negative |
| Texas Tech | (-) Not much going on, still coached by Chris Beard so that's a positive |
| Seton Hall | (+2) Good showing against MSU, was a very winnable game. Bounced back with a nice blowout on the road @Saint Louis |
| Oregon | (+3) Nice win against Memphis with Wiseman in a pseudo home game |
| Memphis | (+1) They gain a spot even with the loss because of Florida and Nova forgetting how to basketball. Wiseman's suspension is make or break |
| Arizona | (+4) Love the freshman trio of Mannion, Green, and Nnaji... wish the latter two would have came to UNC :( |
| Villanova | (-8) That was quite the beating they took, but it was also a damn near perfect game from OSU. Still a believer in Nova |
| Baylor | (+1) Not much going on, I think UW losing big to Tennessee confirms my thoughts that even with the loss they were the better team (for now) |
| Utah State | (+3) They are playing some terrible teams but absolutely destroying them so that's nice to see |
| VCU | (+6) Big win over former coach Will Wade. Love the FBI showing up for it too |
| Tennessee | (NR) Kind of dominated a UW team I was maybe a lil too quick to jump up a tier... These last 5 are all really close for me |
| Auburn | (-1) Would like to see the road game at South Alabama not come down to the last shot but hey, this is college basketball |
| Xavier | (-) Not super inspiring performances this week at home but 2 wins nonetheless |
| Washington | (-6) Think I was just too quick to jump them up after the late surge against Baylor. I think they are a better fit somewhere in this tier rn |
| Texas | (NR) Welcome to the poll Shaka (OUT - Florida, St. Mary's) (Next 5 - Colorado, LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Michigan) |
| Florida State | (-1) Dropping them for being down by double digits to Western Carolina. Seems like it's going to be a rollercoaster year |
