|
(+1) The struggles with Pepperdine and Portland seem like ancient history, as Gonzaga smacked at-large contender BYU by 23. Dominance again. |

(+4) Massacre in the top 10 over the past week lets KU climb four spots with road wins over Oklahoma and Texas. No. 1 in KenPom and T-Rank. |

(+5) Don't look now, but FSU is 16-2. Predictive metrics are kinda low on FSU. Not sure why. They're playing great basketball right now. |

(+6) Dayton is rolling. Took VCU, the A-10's second best team, behind the woodshed, then toppled a good St. Louis team on the road in OT. |

(+7) The rough patch is through. That's four straight ACC wins for Louisville, the last three on the road, including the victory over Duke. |

(-6) Two tough losses in a row to swallow, but look on the bright side: No. 2 in KenPom, No. 3 in T-Rank, No. 6 in NET. The résumé is solid. |

(+11) That's six, count 'em, six Q1 wins for Seton Hall. Throw in the head-to-head result on the road and the Pirates jump the Bulldogs. |

(-6) Won't fault Butler too much for the Seton Hall loss, they just looked incredible. But the 13-point DePaul loss? That's why they fall. |

Michigan State

(+4) Only one game last week, and it was a good one: a full domination of at-large likely Wisconsin. Enough to jump the Spartans four spots. |

(+4) They may not be doing it the prettiest way, but Nova is getting the job done with four straight wins. Other top teams can't say that. |

(-4) Bizarre week for Oregon. Loss to a less than stellar WSU squad followed by a comeback buzzer-beater road win over UW. That's just CBB. |

(-3) Saturday was easily WVU's worst game of the season, as they fell 84-68 at KSU. Time to get back on track with two home games this week. |

(+2) Quiet week for Penny's squad with just a good home win over Cincinnati. Memphis now enters a relatively quiet stretch for AAC play. |

(NEW) In my estimation, Iowa is the best five-loss team, both in résumé and eye test. Luka Garza may just be the best player in the nation. |

(-3) Less than inspiring performance against Zona, but still a top 25 team in my estimation. Tyler Bey remains excellent for the Buffs. |

(-16) Big drop after an 0-2 week. WSU passed my eye test for months but suddenly fell flat twice in a week. Just one quality win so far. |

(NEW) A narrow home win over N'Western is an odd way to jump into the top 25, but it is what it is. Illini have been playing well recently. |
