CanadianShadow's Ballot for Preseason of 2020-21| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 1 |
Gonzaga
|
With one of the best offenses in the league last season, I predict Gonzaga will either go undefeated or have less than 3 losses this season. |
| 2 |
Villanova
|
I might be a little high on them right now, but Villanova will be one of the best this year. |
| 3 |
Baylor
|
Scott Drew is an amazing coach and will continue to do great things with this Baylor program |
| 4 |
Iowa
|
Luka Garza will carry this team to a Big 10 championship |
| 5 |
Virginia
|
Tony Bennett is one of my favorite coaches, and what he is able to do with his teams always surprises me. Look out for Virginia this year. |
| 6 |
Illinois
|
This team is big and this team can score. What more could you want? |
| 7 |
Kentucky
|
Calipari is known for his One-And-Dones, but I don't know if it will be enough to get by the tough OOC this season. |
| 8 |
Wisconsin
|
You've heard of dunk city, now get ready for rebound city with the size of this roster. Madison, be ready for the best season in a long time |
| 9 |
Creighton
|
There are some excellent scorers on this team, and I think they will give Nova a run for their money. |
| 10 |
Tennessee
|
Just like Creighton, Tennessee will give Kentucky a run for their money in the SEC |
| 11 |
Duke
|
I'd put Duke lower, but Krzyzewski is just such a good coach that I don't think they'll miss a beat. |
| 12 |
Michigan State
|
Losing two players, but there's a lot of experience on the bench that other teams lack. Good chemistry will help them win games. |
| 13 |
West Virginia
|
Maybe I'm really high on them right now, but WVU just looks like an extremely complete team on offense and defense right now |
| 14 |
Arizona State
|
A favorite to win the Pac-12, ASU is returning two very high scorers along with a top ten and top 40 recruit. |
| 15 |
Kansas
|
I said this all of last year: Without Dotson and Azibuike, Kansas will not succeed. I really don't think they will be as good as years past. |
| 16 |
Texas Tech
|
Tech's defense was shaky all of last season, and it's much harder to gauge how good a team will be defensively |
| 17 |
UCLA
|
High scoring and high rebounding, just how I like it. |
| 18 |
Rutgers
|
Probably a little high on them at the moment, but they look scarier than last year. |
| 19 |
Florida State
|
Big guys and a deep roster, that's what florida state is good at and what they will continue to be good at this season. |
| 20 |
Ohio State
|
Again, maybe a little high, but man does their team look like they are going to score a lot of points this year. |
| 21 |
Florida
|
Their defense looks to be exceptional this year, Tennessee and Kentucky should look out for them. |
| 22 |
Houston
|
The first non-Gonzaga non-P6 team is Houston, and for good reason. With a good OOC, they could sneak into the top 10 with ease. |
| 23 |
Texas
|
Greg Brown is the only reason Texas is even relevant at the moment. |
| 24 |
Oregon
|
Probably really low on Oregon, but their uncertainty about the team makes me think chemistry will be a problem this year |
| 25 |
LSU
|
Offense and Defense are looking mighty fine this year for the tigers. |
