Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | Loads of talent returning and incoming. If they continue to develop frontcourt talent like they have they'll be hard to beat. |
| Baylor | Losing Clark hurts but the trio of guards and Vital is one of the best. Lots of depth but depends on how the frontcourt plays. |
| Villanova | Had them 2 before the Antoine injury. They still have enough talent and depth to win it all but will need Swider and Moore to make the leap |
| Virginia | Big drop off after 3. Team with the highest floor. Sam Hauser is the key to how well this team can be. |
| Kansas | Hard to put this high after the big losses and lack of frontcourt depth but I smallball Kansas teams always seem to show out. I like Braun. |
| Duke | A great combination of veteran players and talented freshmen. The frontcourt is loaded and I think Jalen Johnson will be a stud. |
| Texas Tech | Beard is one the best coaches in the game. He will use the depth of talent to its highest ability. Hopefully not too many mouths to feed. |
| Iowa | They will go as far as Garza takes them. An improved defense will do them wonders. McCaffery can't make any excuses now. |
| Illinois | Kofi and Ayo are the headliners but supporting cast just as important. Worried that a D2 and Holy Cross transfer are key additons. |
| Creighton | The loss of Alexander hurts but Zegarowski and Ballock have enough fire power. Epperson and Bishop is a great combo. Will be an insane O.. |
| Kentucky | Reminds me of Duke so maybe they should be higher. Sarr and Toppin getting wai |
| Michigan State | Watts and Henry need to take a leap. Hauser helps with the scoring from the departures. The frontcourt is loaded with bodies. |
| Texas | Its scary putting them this high. I like their 9 man rotation. A hot finish plus a top 10 recruit gets me excited. |
| UCLA | Clearly the best team in the pac12. Return every important player. Chris smith is a nba player. Juzang improves alot from last year. |
| Florida State | In Hamilton we trust. Walker, Gray, and Ozbourne are the new veteran core. If Barnes is great then they could win the ACC. |
| LSU | I like this team more than most. Smart, Watford and Days is a great trio. Top 25 recruit Thomas comes in. Lots of impact transfers. |
| Tennessee | Lots of momentum from last season. A very deep team that could enter the tournament in the top 5. Bailey is an underrated transfer. |
| West Virginia | Insane frontcourt that adds a new top 100 recruit. They just need the guards to hit open shots and take care of the ball. |
| Wisconsin | A good team but not a preseason top 10 team. Solid players that can get their points any night. Worried the freshman will be relied on alot. |
| Oregon | Duarte and Richardson can help the loss of Pritchard. Impact transfers at the forward spots is important with the loss of 3 players. |
| Houston | The class of the AAC. Sampson has his guards ready to battle. Chaney will be super important the team's success. |
| Michigan | Very excited about this team. The starting 5 has so much potential. Could be an addition by subtraction with Simpson. |
| North Carolina | Could easily finish the season in the top 10. Lots of talented freshman surround by Brooks, Black, and Bacot. |
| Arizona State | Martin, Verge, and Christopher is scary good. The loss of Romello White is huge but hopefully the guards can offset that. |
| Rutgers | I am not a coward. This team has an identity now. They are now the hunted. 26-30: Alabama, Ohio State, Memphis, Providence, UCONN |
