Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | Didnt play so my first 4 out goes here instead: Oklahoma State, Penn State, NC State, and Arizona State (dang that's a lot of state) |
| Baylor | Dropped: Duke and Kentucky for looking awful, VT for their terrible blowout loss, ASU but only barely after loss to SDSU, and Florida |
| Iowa | An incredibly good week for Iowa with a win over unc and domination of rival ISU |
| Villanova | A monster second half saved Nova from another upset that may have launched them down the rankings |
| West Virginia | Great, dominant win over Richmond just a week after a marginal loss to a top 2 team in the nation - WVU is looking great this year |
| Michigan State | With the uva game postponed/canceled we all must wait another week to see just how good this MSU team is (they are definitely good though) |
| Houston | |
| Kansas | Close win over a decent Creighton squad, Kansas seems to be putting the pieces together after some sloppy opening play |
| Florida State | After a haunting game against what I was ready to make a ranked Florida team, FSU looks strong and like the best team in the ACC for now |
| Missouri | I was super wrong about this team, I thought that Oregon was overrated and that this squad took advantage, but this team is legit |
| Texas | Really sad the Baylor game is being postponed, these two squads were red hot before covid issues following a marginal defeat to Nova |
| Creighton | A close loss to Kansas followed by a bounce back win over Nebraska has this team falling but not by much |
| Tennessee | We get to see some games from these guys finally, but still hard to gauge where they are at so early into their play |
| Clemson | Blowout over Maryland, dominant defense over Bama. This team is looking dangerous and could be one of the best ACC teams this year |
| San Diego State | Another great win over a PAC-12 leader in ASU. This team may be even better than last year's team which is quite an accomplishment |
| Illinois | Illinois looked phenomenal at the beginning of the season, but their weaknesses have shown against better foes, hoping they turn it around |
| Wisconsin | Nothing this week to move the needle on this team |
| Rutgers | :) |
| Xavier | An undefeated Xavier with some good wins in Cincy and OU |
| Virginia | Their drop is more a testament to teams jumping them by playing great games than UVA's actions, but they need a good win soon |
| Michigan | Michigan was sitting on the edge of T25 until their PSU, the team I was originally planning to jump in this week |
| Texas Tech | No real needle moving games this week |
| Ohio State | Managed to overcome ND in a real close matchup, this team rises into the top 25 |
| North Carolina | Fringe top 25 team for now, they don't have a great win to lean on but their losses aren't horrible either. Need to step it up for ACC play |
| Richmond | Upsetting and not very close loss to WVU while the Kentucky win looks a lot less good has this team drop to the bottom of T25 |
