(-) Drops will be put here because of the lack of room below. [DROPPED: 19. Kansas, 23. Minnesota, 24. Boise State] |

| 5 |
Houston
|
(+1) Houston's been on a roll. They're a massive leap above the rest of the AAC, and a top 5 team nationally. |
| 6 |
Texas
|
(-1) Texas shouldn't be judged harshly after a 1-point loss to Oklahoma while missing its head coach and three players. |
| 7 |
Ohio State
|
(+4) Ohio State did well this week. A close shave over Penn State then a blowout over Michigan State. They have the t-most wins in the B1G. |
| 8 |
Iowa
|
(-1) Iowa losing on the road by 5 to Illinois isn't an awful loss, by any means. They played well, but Illinois played great. |
| 9 |
Alabama
|
(-1) Alabama's monstrous streak came to end with a road loss to OU, a five-point loss to a great team on the road is basically expected. |
| 10 |
Texas Tech
|
(-1) Texas Tech got beat by WVU off a buzzer beater, unfortunate but not resume-ruining at all, then pulled off a comeback over LSU. |
| 11 |
Virginia
|
(-1) UVA sucked towards the end of the game vs. VT, but its UVA's 1st loss in seven games, and this team's overall resume is very good. |
| 12 |
Oklahoma
|
(+10) I'm all in on Oklahoma. With great win over Texas and an even better one over red-hot Alabama, this team now has 4 top 10 wins. |
| 13 |
Illinois
|
(+5) Illinois got a great win over Iowa, they shot great and just played good all-around. |
| 14 |
West Virginia
|
(-1) A win over TTU is always nice, but a home loss to Florida isn't. This team stays top 15 despite this. Other teams did worse. |
| 15 |
Creighton
|
(+1) Seton Hall is better than their 9-7 record, and Creighton just beat them on the road. DePaul (3-7) gave them, but a wins a win. |
| 16 |
Tennessee
|
(+4) Tennessee followed up a lame 3-point win over Miss. St with a 19-point demolishment of Kansas. Looks like #20 was too low. |
| 17 |
Virginia Tech
|
(+8) VT has been low in my poll for a while now, but they just got exactly what they needed. VT took over in the 2nd half over UVA. |
| 18 |
Wisconsin
|
(-6) Wisconsin lost to Penn State, and they've had a hard time recently, going 3-3 over 6, with the wins over Maryland, NW, and Rutgers. |
| 19 |
Florida State
|
(-4) Florida State is dropping farther than they maybe should, after leapfrogging teams. Their streak was stopped by Georgia Tech, however. |
| 20 |
Oklahoma State
|
(+1) Oklahoma St just picked up a nice conference win over Arkansas, and they continue to be an underrated team. |
| 21 |
Purdue
|
(NR) Purdue's gone 5-1 over their past 6, with the only loss being Michigan, and most recently beating Minnesota. |
| 22 |
Missouri
|
(-5) Right when Missouri looks legit again, they lose @ Auburn and barely beat TCU. Yes, Sharife Auburn is a different beast, but its a loss |
| 23 |
UCLA
|
(NR) 13-3, 1st in the Pac-12, acceptable losses, some good wins... So I'm late to ranked UCLA. |
| 24 |
St. Louis
|
(-10) This is a temperament of expectations more so than a drop after losing to Dayton. They were coming off a break... then had to break. |
| 25 |
USC
|
(NR) Another 13-3 Pac-12 team. I haven't been respecting this conference enough, but USC (and UCLA) are good teams. Ranked teams. |
