Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | +1 Baylor on pause doesn't really change much but here we are |
| Baylor | -1 On pause, not their fault could be interchangeable with the Zags |
| Michigan | -- good win vs Wisconsin coming off pause, didn't miss a beat |
| Ohio State | -- continued their winning streak in the Big10 |
| Houston | +1, benefit from Nova losing |
| Illinois | +1, Shaky win vs Nebraska but were down late and good teams find a way to win |
| Villanova | -2, lost to a Creighton team that was at its peak, hard to fault Nova but they are definitely vulnerable |
| Virginia | +4, outside of their weird L to VT, the Cavaliers have been on fire |
| Oklahoma | +2, gutsy win vs WVU on the road, definitely have what it takes |
| Alabama | +4, when they're on they're almost impossible to beat |
| Texas | -2, won both games against Kansas St and TCU this week but I feel I had them a little too high and OU/Bama had great wins this week |
| West Virginia | -2, beat Tech by 11 decisively and barely lost to OU, they have done well in a difficult stretch of games |
| Texas Tech | -6, big fall for Tech but not so much their fault as it is other teams are just playing that much better |
| Creighton | +1, only jumped 1 after a big win vs Nova. They showed they can beat anyone, their problem is consistency |
| Iowa | +1, back on the right track with a couple wins |
| USC | +3, USC has been rising for a while and only have 3 losses and is in control of PAC12 |
| Florida State | +1, haven't done much lately, did get a win vs. Wake Forest but not enough to really jump/drop them |
| Virginia Tech | +2, same as Florida St, move up a few spots but more because of teams in front underperforming significantly (UT, MIZZ) |
| Missouri | -6, really been slipping lately and took 2 L's this week (against subpar teams) |
| Wisconsin | +2, last few teams are difficult to rank and move up a few spots because I like their experience more than their recent performances |
| Loyola Chicago | +3, another team benefitting from others not performing well and this team can stick with anyone in the country |
| Oregon | NR, I have questions about their abilities but they've beaten whoever has been put in front of them recently |
| Kansas | NR, similar to Oregon, it was nice to see KU get back on track with a good W vs OSU |
| Tennessee | -7, a ton of potential that doesn't go to use, hard to see them still in the top 25 |
| Colorado | NR, considered: Rutgers,Purdue,Minnesota,Ok. St,Louisville,Clemson. Out: Florida,Ok. St,Rutgers |
