Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | -- |
| Michigan | +1, Passed Baylor in Kenpom and have looked unbeatable |
| Baylor | -1, haven't looked the same off of their covid pause, still obviously a 1 seed if they can bounce back a little |
| Illinois | +1, jumping OSU as they were able to beat Wisconsin without Ayo |
| Ohio State | -1, 3 game losing streak and would probably be lower if not for everyone else also losing |
| West Virginia | +3, one of only 8 top25 teams (if I did the math correct) to not lose this past week |
| Houston | +4, benefit from everyone around them losing while they beat a decent Western Kentucky team |
| Villanova | -2, Could definitely see an argument for them to be lower after losing to Butler (but looking very good against UConn & SJU)?? |
| Kansas | +7, finally get their signature win as it felt like they were losing close games for a while, plus knocking off Baylor warrants a big jump |
| Iowa | --, not sure what to make of them, looked very poor against Michigan and then respond with a W over OSU |
| Alabama | -3, While a loss to Arkansas isn't bad I'm not sure they are a top 10 team in the country right now |
| Texas | +2, Texas beats Kansas and then loses to Texas Tech this week as the BIG12 becomes even more difficult to evaluate |
| Arkansas | +10, I've been pretty low on them hence the big jump because they've been winning and on fire recently |
| Florida State | -1, I thought for sure FSU was the obvious ACC front runner but losing to UNC who lost to Marquette is not something I predicted |
| Oklahoma | -8, I've felt they were too high for a while and they lost twice this past week with one being to Kansas St |
| Texas Tech | +1, another BIG12 team that is impossible to read like the rest, W over Texas after a loss to OSU |
| Creighton | -5, can play with anyone if they play their A game (see Nova W) but did not show up at all against Xavier who looked like the better team |
| Virginia | -3, I could see an argument for them to be ranked lower or even unranked, I'm just trusting Bennett figures things out but yikes |
| Oklahoma State | NR, Cunningham is the real deal and showed it with W's over Tech and OU, team can compete with the best of them |
| Loyola Chicago | +2, it's hard for me to rank them higher despite other teams losing as they been narrowly edging out victories |
| San Diego State | +3, the team to beat in the Mountain West in my opinion, sweeping Boise St this past week |
| Colorado | NR, making the PAC12 race very interesting, beating 2 teams in front of them |
| Virginia Tech | -5, not much to say but they better start putting some wins together again or they may be next to be dropped |
| Purdue | OUT: Oregon(20), Wisconsin(21), Missouri(25) |
| USC | Considered: Oregon, Clemson, BYU, Wisconsin |
