Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | |
| Kansas | I'm more convinced by Kansas than I man Baylor, Michigan, Illinois, and UCLA. They just seem to have a lot of pieces |
| Villanova | I trust Jay Wright more right now than I do a lot of higher ranked coaches |
| Michigan | They're returning some good pieces and haven't had much coaching turnover |
| Purdue | Experience is vital in close and early non-home games (although boo trains) |
| UCLA | I think they got a lot of hype in a likely over performing pac12 tournament. They should be good, but I'm wary even at 6 |
| Illinois | Everyone's B1G favorite. A lot of coaching and player turnover. They need a few people to really step up. |
| Baylor | Losing some key players. I'm sure they have some people who can step up |
| Duke | Duke could run the table. This is I'd last season and it could motivate them late season. We'll also get an idea of Scheyer |
| Houston | As much as I dislike Sampson for IU, he gets the job done |
| Kentucky | Should be a good season, but they've GOt to rebound after a bad season |
| Arkansas | Muss Bus had a breakout year, I think they could do about as well, likely not much better |
| Ohio State | A lot of questions remain here. Consistency is lacking |
| Memphis | Penny is my hero after Wiseman. |
| Oregon | We'll see how they turn out after last year |
| Alabama | The SEC is loaded |
| Maryland | Expect a good season from them |
| Texas Tech | Let's see who really was the brain behind TTU |
| Tennessee | Isn't football enough for the SEC? |
| Florida State | Good coach, momentum running |
| USC | Enfield finally has some traction |
| Michigan State | Never doubt Izzo unless it's in the FinalFour or later |
| St. Bonaventure | Come on, you can do it |
| Texas | Huge questions all around |
| UConn | I really wanted to put my Hoosiers here, but i need some film before I think they deserve a ranking. Come on Woody (also dookie good coach) |
