2	Purdue	Canada's finest, Zach Edey is having an incredible start to his sophomore season.

5	Houston	Another dominant defensive team, they absolutely destroyed Virginia from start to finish.
6	Arizona	Tommy Lloyd has a hell of a squad lead by Canada's finest, Bennedict Mathurin, and Christian Koloko is a beast as well.

8	BYU	Mark Pope is a top 5 coach in the country, and I'm tired of pretending that he's not.

11	Seton Hall	Another team with an incredible defensive ceiling, Rhoden will need to be a consistent scorer for this squad to crack the top 10.

14	St. Bonaventure	They need to get off to better starts more consistently, but that's pretty much my only complaint about the Bonnies.
15	Virginia Tech

17	Villanova	Very rarely is a two loss team still ranked this early in my ballot, but Nova gets a pass due to margin and quality of opponent.
18	Illinois	This team needs Kofi, and the only reason they're still in the top 25 is because he wasn't playing in that debacle in Milwaukee.

20	Mississippi State
21	Xavier	Just wait until this team gets Zach Freemantle back, they could easily be challengers in a deep and talented Big East.
22	Tennessee	I still think this team has a high ceiling, but that Villanova game was ugly and Josiah Jordan-James hasn't taken the step forward yet.
23	Indiana	I really missed watching games at Assembly Hall with 100% capacity, those fans just go wild. The Johnnies found that out this week.
