Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kentucky | There should be no doubt that Kentucky is the most talented team in the nation, and it's not close. |
| Arizona | Arizona returns a lot of pieces, and has a really good one coming in in Johnson. They'll run through the Pac-12 |
| Duke | Jahlil Okafor is my preseason pick for NPOY. If Winslow, Jones, and Okafor can mesh, this team will shock no one with a Final Four. |
| Kansas | Kansas will win a Big 12 title, and has a chance to do so much more if Cliff pans out. |
| Wisconsin | Without Brust it's not the same team, but it's still a good one. I don't know if I trust Kaminsky to be "the guy", but it might not matter. |
| North Carolina | They may not play school, but they can play basketball. Meeks might have trouble guarding opposing 5's, but this team will be good. |
| Louisville | |
| Florida | I think Florida's season pivots on Chris Walker's performance. |
| Texas | This team is going to be good, and will give Barnes another opportunity to blow it in March. |
| Virginia | This team will compete for the ACC title, still, but will need some luck. |
| Gonzaga | Kyle Wiltjer is going to be an instant impact player, and Kevin Pangos will run amok... again. |
| Villanova | |
| San Diego State | |
| Iowa State | |
| Wichita State | |
| VCU | |
| Nebraska | |
| Ohio State | |
| Oklahoma | |
| SMU | We're presuming Kennedy is eligible, right? |
| Michigan State | |
| Kansas State | |
| UConn | |
| Utah | |
| Stanford |
