Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | 2-7 are all incredibly close, I'll try to give my reasoning for the positioning but they're practically interchangable. |
| Kansas | Kansas has the best shot to go deep in the tournament. They're talented, experienced, and have the deepest resume in the country. |
| Duke | None of the other top teams have multiple wins against each other besides Duke, with wins over Gonzaga and Kentucky. That's pretty good. |
| Baylor | The defending national champs have shown grit by battling thru injuries, but I think they lose to their b12 counterpart more often than not. |
| Kentucky | Their thrashing of Kansas and game against Auburn (lost TyTy) make me think Kentucky is the best team in the SEC. |
| Auburn | 2nd least impressive resume of the bunch to me with wins over murray and uk, they've only lost close games away from home. 3-3 in last 6 tho |
| Arizona | Brutal loss to a Colorado team who had just lost to ASU, with their best wins being Illinois and UCLA. Undefeated at home. |
| Providence | |
| Texas Tech | |
| Villanova | Showed amazing fight, continuing to score against momentum on the road. A win would have been great, but I believe in this team. |
| Tennessee | |
| Wisconsin | |
| Purdue | |
| UConn | |
| Arkansas | |
| UCLA | |
| Saint Mary's | |
| Houston | |
| Murray State | Thrashed the 2nd best team in the OVC then almost lost to a mid-tier SEMO?? I was Murray State to the moon but now I'm not so sure. |
| USC | |
| North Texas | |
| Colorado State | |
| Texas | |
| Iowa State | |
| Boise State |
