Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| North Carolina | No change here. |
| Maryland | Swapping MD and Iowa this week. |
| Oklahoma | Escaping LSU doesn't move them up or down. |
| Iowa | Lost to MD, annihilated NW. Not a terrible loss on the road. |
| Michigan State | Looking back to their old selves pre Valentine injury. |
| Xavier | Good win over Providence. |
| Kansas | Lost at ISU and needed OT vs Kentucky but neither outing was bad. |
| Villanova | Quiet week after dropping a game to Providence last Sunday. |
| Virginia | Should not have beaten Wake, but totally killed Louisville. Louisville is dead now. |
| SMU | Neutral week for them taking care of Memphis. |
| Texas A&M | Lost to an OK Arkansas team on the road, but made up for it by beating ISU. |
| West Virginia | Tough game at Florida, but not a bad loss. |
| Iowa State | Beat Kansas and lost at TAMU. That makes for a neutral week in my book. |
| Oregon | No team had a better week than Oregon. Road win @Arizona is impressive. |
| Dayton | Probably overranked at this point, but other teams losing with too much frequency or margin. |
| VCU | Another team overranked by virtue of other teams not wanting to stay ranked. |
| Purdue | Got a scare against Minnesota. |
| Wichita State | FVV and Ron Baker have the Shockers rolling. |
| Miami (FL) | Losing @NCSU is still pretty bad. Duke win doesn't quite make up for that. |
| Arizona | Dropped a home game this week to Oregon. That's tough. |
| Providence | Another team that dropped a home game. Solid win @Gtown though. |
| Louisville | Dead |
| Indiana | Tough road loss @Wisconsin. |
| Kentucky | Played KU to OT in Phog and have been beating up on the SEC. |
| Michigan | Others considered: Baylor, Valpo, Duke, Florida |
