Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Villanova | Avoided messing up in games they were supposed to win. Can you ask much more of a #1 this season? |
| Kansas | Jayhawks have gotten back on track and it's looking like they might miraculously snag the Big 12.. again. |
| Oklahoma | Fortunate win over Texas, and still played well against surging Kansas. Maybe in a bit of a slump but not too late for redemption. |
| Iowa | Understandable road loss and a relatively light week coming up. Just have to take care of business to close out the season and win the B1G. |
| Virginia | Solidly handled VT and then got an Amazing Klassic Koack K Kall. Only one game this week, will have to see how they handle the loss. |
| Xavier | A big loss to Creighton and a big win over Butler, both on the road. Potential, but inconsistency. |
| North Carolina | Escaped Boston College but good win over Pitt. Other ACC losses have allowed them to pull somewhat ahead again. |
| Michigan State | There is no shame in a 1-pt overtime loss to Purdue. Dominating win over IU is redemptive |
| Maryland | Bad first home B1G loss, but this team is too talented to count out. If Trimble can find himself again, it's not too late for them. |
| Miami (FL) | Two good wins this week. A lot of hard games left to prove that they belong at the top. |
| West Virginia | Basically performed to expectation this week. Difficult week coming up with potential to rise greatly if they win both. |
| Arizona | Good week of revenge against the city of angels. With Oregon sliding, the Pac-12 may not be out of reach. |
| Iowa State | Not an amazing week, but absolutely could have been worse. Like WV, they essentially performed to expectations. |
| Dayton | Picked up a good win this week and (maybe more importantly) didn't lose. |
| Louisville | Two tough road games, but a shame that they couldn't pick up either of them. May be the start of a sad and quiet ending for this season. |
| Kentucky | Coach or no coach, Kentucky seems to be coming back at the right time. Two very dominating wins. |
| Oregon | Have 3 games at home to recollect themselves after this bad week before tough road games to finish off the season. |
| Purdue | Playing like a team in the 15-20 range. Talent may be there for them to step it up come March, but that remains to be seen. |
| SMU | Tulsa loss was a little worse than their Gonzaga win was good. SMU not dead yet, but Temple may win the AAC. |
| Duke | Even if the win against UVA happened because of an incorrect no-call, they still played a very good game to go with their Louisville win. |
| Wisconsin | Huge win over Maryland. Please keep Gard. This team has the potential to go places. |
| Notre Dame | Seem to be getting hot and every remaining game on their schedule is definitely winnable. |
| Texas A&M | Perhaps the biggest collapse of the season. If they can't recover with this 3-game homestand coming up, their season might be dead. |
| Syracuse | On a nice streak, and have dominantly fought back from their 0-4 ACC start. |
| Texas | Robbed of the win @Oklahoma and unable to win @Hilton, but I'm not giving up on them yet. |
