Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | Without a doubt, this is the best team out there ..... on paper. |
| Villanova | Defending champs, with much back. |
| Kansas | Josh Jackson, likely #1 pick in NBA |
| Oregon | Almost everyone back from 1 seed in 2016 |
| Wisconsin | Greg Gard will have this team hitting on all cylinders |
| Virginia | Will UVa ever leave the Top 10 again with Tony Bennett at HC? |
| Kentucky | Loads of talent, still unsure if they can put it together though |
| Arizona | Also young, but believe in Sean Miller |
| Purdue | Taking a flyer, I really love this roster |
| Xavier | Will be a great showdown with Villanova for top spot in the Big East |
| Gonzaga | Has the roster, and has the coach |
| Indiana | Tom Crean is suspect to me, only reason they aren't Top 10 |
| Creighton | I like this team to be a major player in an awesome Big East title battle |
| North Carolina | This team will have some trouble gelling together. |
| Louisville | The cloud of allegations will loom over this team |
| URI | Everything returns, plus adding top tier talent like Matthews |
| UConn | Should dominate a weak conference |
| Saint Mary's | Still believe they will play second fiddle to Gonzaga |
| Dayton | Will be a tight race with URI in the A10 |
| Syracuse | Wouldn't be surprised to see another deep NCAA run |
| California | Lots of talent, unfortunately I haven't seen Martin really put it together before |
| Michigan State | I believe in Izzo, almost the exact reverse of the Indiana situation |
| Oklahoma | Still have some key pieces in place |
| Iowa State | Solid team, solid coach, solid conference, but nothing special |
| UCLA | I have literally zero faith in Steve Alford, otherwise this is a Top 10 team |
