Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kansas | Lose Ellis (Still don't believe he's gone until they play) but return several key guys. They also add Josh Jackson. |
| Duke | Giles, Tatum, Jackson, Bolden, and DeLaurier all join the hated Grayson Allen, Jefferson, and Jones. |
| Kentucky | They add Fox, Monk, Adebayo, Gabriel, and Jones to go with Briscoe and Humphries. |
| Oregon | This was a top 10 team last year, and they return 4 of the 5 starters from last years team, including their leading scorer. |
| Villanova | They lose Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu, but still have a special team. They add some transfers but I expect a great year for Nova. |
| Xavier | Top 8 team last year and they return a lot of the same players. |
| North Carolina | Very talented started 5 and they added Tony Bradley to the team. |
| Arizona | Trier is an all american and they add Simmons and Alkins to the team. |
| Virginia | They lose a lot, but I don't question Tony Bennett's team. Perrantes will step up for them this year |
| Indiana | They lose Ferrell and Williams but still return a talented team. |
| Michigan State | Michigan State is bringing in a talented recruiting class led by Bridges. |
| West Virginia | I'm high on WVU because I've heard a lot about their summer. Carter I've heard has improved a lot, and expect Miles to be good as well. |
| Wisconsin | Badgers return almost everyone and after all the off season stories about Hayes, I expect him to perform this year. |
| Louisville | Off season stuff will finally be over and Louisville will still be a good defensive team |
| Texas | I'm also way high on the Longhorns compared to others but Allen is going to be really good. Plus, Shaka will improve their returning players |
| Gonzaga | Nigel Williams-Goss is eligible and Karnowski is back. Gonzaga should be a fairly good team. Maybe even a little low on them. |
| Syracuse | I think Syracuse will pick up where they left off in April and will be a good team this year. Boeheim said it's his best team yet. |
| Iowa State | Sad to see Niang leave, but ISU is still really good. Morris is a Big 12 POY candidate and Burton and Long will help him out. |
| Purdue | Tons of talent down low, the only major question is how their guard play will be. |
| UConn | Very solid starting 5 and even have some depth. Jalen Adams is someone to keep an eye on. |
| Creighton | Marcus Foster is really good and so is Watson Jr. Creighton's got a lot of talent this year. |
| Cincinnati | I'm probably fairly high on Mick Cronin's team, but I think Cincy will have a good year. They'll challenge Uconn for the AAC title. |
| UCLA | UCLA has a fairly talented team, and I'm lower on them than others, but I think Alford will be their best player. |
| Saint Mary's | They bring back their starting 5, and experience matters. Expect St. Mary's to be a very good team. |
| Oklahoma | Lose several key pieces, but are young and talented. Others considered: Maryland, Wichita State, Rhode Island, and Cal |
