Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | I hate Grayson Allen. But boy is he good. No real weak parts of this lineup. |
| Kentucky | Neck and neck recruiting class with Duke. I'm really excited to see what Bam and co. have to offer |
| Kansas | 13 straight. No one can stop this team in the Big 12. |
| Villanova | Josh Hart will compete for player of the year. |
| North Carolina | Not a huge drop off for the runners-up |
| Oregon | Quality at every position, provided Brooks is healthy. |
| Virginia | Austin Nichols vs. the rim. |
| Xavier | Trevon Bluiett will be a beast on the wing. |
| Wisconsin | Hayes, Koenig, Happ. Looks to be the best team in the B1G. |
| Arizona | Great talent down low, let's see if they produce. |
| Michigan State | Izzo. That's all. |
| UCLA | Alford makes big improvements from last year. Look for Lonzo Ball to carry. |
| Indiana | Yogi is gone, but Thomas Bryant will carry them to success. |
| Louisville | Pitino could've made the Final 4 if he was allowed in the tourney last year. Should be the case again this year. |
| Purdue | Lost Hammons, but Haas and Boogie will both play more in his absence. The addition of Spike will help solve the massive PG problems |
| Syracuse | Boeheim might be a good coach, guys. |
| Saint Mary's | The Gaels deserved to be in the tourney last year. This team is exactly the same, and will get in this year. |
| UConn | Should have no problem in the American. |
| Texas | Shaka and Jarrett Allen will be making waves in the Big 12. |
| Gonzaga | The Zags and St. Mary's will be fun to watch in the WCC |
| Creighton | McDermott has a team that can shoot and shoot some more |
| West Virginia | The backcourt looks great. |
| Iowa State | Lost Niang, but should rebound nicely. |
| NC State | The banter of NC State fans arguing with each other about how good this team is hilarious. |
| URI | Matthews has a healthy ACL; this team is going to be really good. |
