Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kentucky | Plenty of experience returning, mixed with new talent. If it meshes, this team could be awesome. |
| Wisconsin | A really good chance for a return trip to the Final Four. |
| Arizona | Top 5 team last year, with a lot returning and a great recruiting class. |
| Duke | Maybe too high, maybe too low. Another intriguing mix of young players with a few veterans. |
| Kansas | 2/3 top picks in the 2014 draft... and still favorites for the Big 12. |
| North Carolina | Paige will lead them to great things. |
| Louisville | Still a great team even without Smith or Hancock |
| Virginia | Can they repeat last years success? |
| Florida | Talent is there, but who will help Frazier III score? |
| Wichita State | Lost Early, but still plenty of upperclassmen leadership. |
| Texas | Solid on paper... |
| Iowa State | All aboard the Niang train. |
| Villanova | Most of the team returns. Could have done better last year if they didn't run into the UConn buzz saw. |
| Gonzaga | Can't wait to see what Wiltjer can do this year. |
| UConn | Boatright has some big shoes to fill. |
| VCU | Smart is ready to lead his team to another solid season. |
| Michigan State | Hopefully Izzo can compensate for all the talent lost from last year. |
| Ohio State | Craft is finally gone. |
| SMU | I'm sure they still feel shafted from last year. |
| Nebraska | Lots of veterans, can they stand up to the pressure? |
| Oklahoma | Another team returning a lot of players, looking to repeat last year's success. |
| San Diego State | Potential is there despite scoring worries. |
| Harvard | Not sure if they will be ranked throughout the season, but again could be interesting matchup in March. |
| Colorado | Could end up much higher than this ranking. |
| Arkansas | Maybe a stretch to rank them. Kansas St. is my #26. |
