Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Villanova | Villanova has huge road wins against Purdue and Creighton, and won on neutral over Notre Dame. Their only loss is @Butler. |
| Gonzaga | Don't want to jinx it, but they should go undefeated in the regular season. Their wins against Florida, Arizona, and St. Mary's are good. |
| UCLA | They have the best resume-booster of any team with the win @Kentucky alongside good wins, and were inches away from still being undefeated. |
| Kansas | A couple made free throws and they are still unbeaten. I'm not high on Duke so they need a big win to move up. |
| Baylor | Baylor had the best non-conference performance but has struggled recently, especially against WVU. |
| West Virginia | They have won big games against Virginia and Baylor but have also lost to Temple and Texas Tech. |
| Creighton | Wins against Wisconsin and Butler, and has only fell to Villanova. |
| Kentucky | The two losses are to UCLA and @Louisville (a close rivalry game). The Wildcats showcased their talent in a quality win over UNC. |
| Butler | Butler has an amazing assortment of wins and two bad (but close) losses. |
| Oregon | They didn't have Dillion Brooks at 100% for the two early losses, but with him back they ended the unbeaten runs of UCLA and USC. |
| Notre Dame | They are spotless in the slaughterhouse known as the ACC... so far. These next 5 ACC teams are all very close for me. |
| North Carolina | They beat FSU. They are above Louisville because they have a good win that is away from home (Wisconsin in Maui). |
| Florida State | The loss against Temple sticks out on an otherwise great record. |
| Louisville | The wins against Kentucky and Purdue are good, and they don't have any ugly L's. |
| Virginia | They need to defend home court. They have good wins away vs Louisville, Clemson, and Cal. |
| Purdue | They have won against Wisconsin and Notre Dame, and nearly knocked off Nova. |
| Arizona | The two loses to Gonzaga and Butler aren't bad at all. They have 2 road games this week to get big wins. |
| Wisconsin | They don't have any losses that stick out, but the best wins are Indiana and Marquette. |
| Duke | Duke has yet to win a true road game. When Coach K and Amile get back they should become destructive. |
| Cincinnati | The Bearcats cannot slip up in AAC play. The games vs Xavier and @SMU will be big. |
| Xavier | X lacks a quality win (their best is Clemson) and has a bad loss to Colorado. They fell short @Butler but have more chances in BEAST play. |
| South Carolina | South Carolina is undefeated with Thornwell in the lineup, and two of the 3 losses without him were by one possession to OK teams. Big week! |
| Florida | Florida is another team with no bad losses and no great wins. The game against South Carolina is big for both teams. |
| Maryland | Maryland has only lost twice but that number could be quite higher. They need to start winning big to move up. |
| Saint Mary's | They have a second shot at Gonzaga at home, but will need to survive the WCC before and after that. |
