Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Gonzaga | i might devote a few lines here to gonzaga. I've been writing all year that they would get to this spot And here they are. |
| Kansas | i think many people will rank them there, but im not sure many think they are the best team in the country. |
| Villanova | I do. I've watched them a couple times. The offense is spectacular, and the defense is something else. |
| Baylor | Transfer trio + Karnowski + capable freshmen. This team is good. Maybe Few's best team he's had. |
| Arizona | And with no team really standing out (I'd say there is a top tier for sure, though), this could be the year |
| Louisville | Yes, "this could be the year" has been said about Gonzaga many times. But I truly think it will be. |
| West Virginia | Now, the rest of the rankings. Quite the chaos this week. KU stays @2 w/win @UK, Nova stays @3, Baylor no change. Zona looks real good to 5 |
| Virginia | louisville up. quality loss argument for them, also some sweet D. Press Va up to 7. Big win over KU |
| UCLA | Virginia also up a lot. UCLA gets benefit from other teams losing. I don't think their last 2 losses are bad, but have to fix D. |
| Wisconsin | hey they almost lost to rutgers but they didnt soo |
| North Carolina | Offense was poor against Miami's zone looks. |
| Kentucky | |
| Cincinnati | |
| Oregon | I still really like this Oregon team. but if they were to lose a game this week, colorado was the worse one. They will rebound. |
| Butler | Yeah they lost to Georgetown, but Georgetown is in that mode where they kind of get good enough to keep Thompson's job |
| Creighton | ^pretty much same as above. But they clearly hurt without Watson. |
| Florida State | a rather large drop, but not undeserved. |
| Maryland | fuck the haters, keep winning. 19-2 is damn impressive. |
| Saint Mary's | Probably will sit around here unless they can beat Gonzaga later in the year. |
| SMU | The American isn't good. SMU has to keep winning to get that at-large. We've seen the committee snub their conference (and SMU!) before |
| South Carolina | they play sports |
| Northwestern | Welcome, we've been waiting for you. |
| Duke | Duke has issues. We've heard. But the talent is there, don't count them out. This is not a bad team. |
| Florida | i guess the Big 12 isn't that good or something. |
| Notre Dame | honorable mentions: xavier, wichita st, illinois state, virginia tech, and the next best big 12 team (isu? kstate? okstate?) |
