Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Kentucky | 1A |
| Duke | 1B |
| Virginia | I have no idea why this team isn't getting more hype. They have star power, good coaching, toughness, and experience. |
| Arizona | They're like the FSU of CBB. They keep winning, but not convincingly. |
| Louisville | The defense is amazing, and they have above-average rebounders at every position. But someone needs to be able to make a shot for them. |
| Wisconsin | They're still the best team in the B1G, but I think they're the worst of the group of 6 teams that I consider legitimate contenders. |
| Gonzaga | They can beat anyone with their offense, but you need to be able to defend to win a title. |
| Villanova | They're great, but I can't shake the feeling that the sum of their individual players is better than them as a whole. |
| Texas | They're incredibly talented, but late in the season, do you trust a Texas team that hasn't been there with Barnes over a team above them? |
| Kansas | I don't think this team is as good as most people. But with experience, depth, and Bill Self, I still expect them to win the Big XII. |
| Ohio State | Other than maybe Indiana, this team has the best backcourt in the B1G. Their only loss was on the road against a top 5 team. |
| Iowa State | They're a dreamy team because of their offense (and their beautiful coach), but you have to be able to get stops to win in March. |
| Utah | |
| Wichita State | I love their backcourt, but their frontcourt is pretty thin and they have maybe the worst win of any team in the top 15 against Alabama |
| Washington | |
| Oklahoma | |
| Notre Dame | |
| St. John's | |
| West Virginia | |
| Colorado State | |
| Butler | |
| Maryland | |
| Oklahoma State | |
| Seton Hall | |
| San Diego State |
