Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | |
| Michigan State | |
| Texas A&M | This week I was fixing things from last week's poll that I rushed. I think Texas A&M is top 3 after some reconsideration. |
| Kansas | |
| Villanova | |
| Miami (FL) | Won on the road against Minnesota. |
| Florida | |
| Notre Dame | |
| Wichita State | Probably should've been lower last week but winning @Baylor pops them up. |
| Gonzaga | |
| North Carolina | |
| Arizona State | Xavier had wins this week that make Arizona State look better. |
| Virginia | |
| Kentucky | The only game they have looked good in is also their only loss. Looks like the play to the level of their opponent. |
| Xavier | Beat Baylor and Cincinnati. |
| West Virginia | |
| Seton Hall | Beat Texas Tech and Louisville this week. |
| Minnesota | Their wins against Providence and Alabama have dipped in quality slightly. Plus they lost at home. |
| Nevada | Still undefeated with a lot of good wins over good mid-majors. |
| Tennessee | Only loss was a competitive game with Nova in Atlantis. Beat Purdue in a close one. |
| URI | Beat Seton Hall. Losses are @Nevada and Virginia on neutral. |
| Cincinnati | So far Xavier has been their only true test and they didn't look good. They will prove themselves in their upcoming schedule. |
| Texas | |
| Purdue | Purdue has a lot of good "eye-test" wins. Their loss to Western Kentucky will be holding them down. |
| TCU | Undefeated but they need to pick up some resume wins. I had Baylor at 26, Northern Iowa at 27, and USC at 28. |
