Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Michigan State | (LW: 2) The Spartans look electric every time they play, time to prove it in the B1G. |
| Duke | (LW: 4) As long as Bagley continues to play like a POY candidate, Duke is a clear title contender. |
| Villanova | (LW: 1) Not too worried about a tough trip to Hinkle, the Bulldogs shot the lights out. |
| Arizona State | (LW: 3) Alreadly looking forward to the rematch in Tempe on Feb 15th. |
| West Virginia | (LW: 6) Hard to overstate how challenging it is to win on the road in the Big 12. |
| Wichita State | (LW: 10) A good introduction to the American, and they get better with McDuffie coming back. |
| Xavier | (LW: 7) There is some cause for concern with Xavier's inability to dominate teams like ETSU and DePaul. Big meeting with Nova this week. |
| North Carolina | (LW: 9) Wasn't a great performance against Wake, however their resume still holds up (bar the Wofford game) |
| Oklahoma | (LW: 16) ALL HAIL TRAE YOUNG |
| Arizona | (LW: 15) Hard to argue this team's talent. They're a poor week in Atlantis away from being the undisputed #1 team. |
| Texas A&M | (LW: 5) This team has to shake off the Bama loss, there is plenty of upset potential in this year's SEC. |
| Kansas | (LW: 12) Will be interesting to see this team with De Souza added to the mix. |
| Purdue | (LW: 11) The other good team in the B1G, lots of games they should be winning in the near future. |
| Virginia | (LW: 13) Bit of a scare against BC, but Ty Jerome and co. still look like ACC contenders. |
| Kentucky | (LW: 14) Still just scraping by, the Wildcats are doing just enough to keep themselves in the top tier of the SEC. |
| Texas Tech | (LW: 18) Winners of the BUTT bowl (part 1), the Red Raiders walk into Allen Fieldhouse next, where we'll learn a lot about this squad. |
| TCU | (LW: 8) Tough loss for the Frogs, but they need to stay focused against the gauntlet of the Big 12 schedule. |
| Miami (FL) | (LW: 17) Solid win over a cellar-dweller, interesting matchup with FSU next weekend. |
| Cincinnati | (LW: 21) Memphis took a beating at the hands of the Bearcats, who have SMU at home on Sunday in a critical game for the AAC crown. |
| Seton Hall | (LW: 20) Impressive comeback against Creighton was followed by a mediocre performance against the Johnnies. Wins are wins though. |
| Arkansas | (LW: 22) Hard to argue against the talent of these hogs. I guess I can finally forgive the loss to Houston. |
| Clemson | (LW: NR) A surprise team to emerge from the middle of the ACC, the Tigers deserve some recognition. |
| SMU | (LW: NR) The Mustangs look to make it 3 elite teams from the AAC. |
| Auburn | (LW: 25) DIdn't play a conference game this week, but still passed their only test (Cornell) with flying colours. |
| Tennessee | (LW: 19) Bud Walton Arena is never a fun place to play. Next 5: Gonzaga, Butler, Boise State, UCLA, Syracuse |
