Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| West Virginia | West Virginia and Villanova were my clear 1 and 2. |
| Villanova | |
| Texas Tech | Since I rank on my eye-test of resumes, Texas Tech and Arizona State can both crash if Kansas crashes, but right now everyone looks fine. |
| Virginia | I'm not high on Virginia Tech, which is Virginia's best road win. |
| Oklahoma | Road wins over TCU and Wichita State keep them high. |
| Arizona State | ASU is starting to look wobbly in conference play, but had an amazing non-conference. |
| Duke | Duke is struggling in road ACC games (5 straight losses), but still picked up some glitter for the resume in the non-con. |
| Purdue | The scar of the WKU loss has made their trip to the top 10 long and hard, however I don't think they will be losing much in the Big 10. |
| Michigan State | Michigan State needs to avoid additional losses to stay high in the ranks. Their SOS isn't gonna be the best this year. |
| Seton Hall | I gave Seton Hall the edge in rank over Xavier because they have big wins away from home. |
| Xavier | |
| Auburn | Just beat 2 ranked teams and is on a 12 game win streak. |
| Wichita State | WSU, Gonzaga, and Cincinnati are all going to be much better than their seeds/resume in March. |
| Gonzaga | |
| Clemson | I don't know if their success will be sustained but they get a top 15 ranking for now. |
| Cincinnati | Clemson did better against their shared opponent: Florida. |
| Kansas | Nearly gave up control against TCU. This Kansas team is at a tipping point of becoming good or turning out to be really bad. |
| North Carolina | Aside from the home loss to Wofford, they have played like a decent team. |
| Tennessee | Take everything past here with a grain of salt. Other teams considered: Miami, Kentucky, Arkansas, Baylor, Butler, Ohio St |
| Arizona | |
| TCU | |
| Florida State | |
| Texas A&M | |
| Creighton | |
| Florida |
