8 | West Virginia | It was always going to be tough week. Scraped by Baylor (despite going >5 min no basket in 2nd), and lost by 1 to TTU. KAN/TEX this week. |
9 | Michigan State | Bridges went scoreless for too long, and the Spartans needed OT to beat Rutgers. Then they lost against Michigan (Wagner had 27). IND next. |

11 | Kansas | Newman career high 27 against close Iowa St game. And then Kansas barely held on against in-state rival KSU. This week: WVU and BAY. |
12 | Cincinnati | Despite a slow start, Cincinnati finished with no troubles against USF. Cumberland had 18. UCF and the East Carolina Pirates this week. |
13 | Gonzaga | Some say Gonzaga are still raining baskets against Portland even today. Then Williams' 17, Perkins' 16 helped the Zags hold of SF. SMC next. |
14 | Arizona | Arizona to ASU: "Anything you can do we can do better." They pulled away from ORST, but were able to beat Oregon behind Trier's 25. |
15 | North Carolina | Maye had 32/18 against BC, and Berry's 2 FTs and a bounced out shot helped the Heels get a W against ND. Clemson home game next. |
16 | Auburn | Murray 16 helped rally Tigers over Ole Miss and then Brown 23 for rally against MISS St. But can they beat Bama? Also: Wiley ineligible |
17 | Arizona State | Pritchard's 18 for Oregon + 2 late FTs helped Oregon upset ASU. Then Evans helped rally ASU to close win against another Oregon team. |
18 | Seton Hall | It wasn't close against Marquette near the end after a 16-0 run in the 2nd. Pirates held to 39% shooting in 2nd. Got W against GTWN. |
19 | Kentucky | Despite behind short-handed, Kentucky held off a struggling Texas A&M team. They also got a nice win against Vandy. SC/FLA next. |
20 | Tennessee | Williams had career high 37 and TENN rallied to beat Vandy. Then gave the Aggies their 5th straight L. MIZ and SC this week. |
21 | Clemson | NCST: "Here Tigers. Take this W." CLEM: "No, you take the win. We insist." NCST: "Are you sure? Here, we'll give you 3 FTs." Clem: *misses* |
22 | Miami (FL) | Unfortunately the Hurricanes couldn't get past the Tigers, and their schedule is no easier next week: Duke and NC State. |
