Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | ZION WILLIAMSON enough said. |
| Kansas | This team features a nice mix of college vets and fresh blood. Losing Graham and Svi hurts, but the incoming talent should offset the loses |
| Villanova | Losing four of their starting five to the NBA stings, but having two fifth year seniors will help Jay Wright to another successful season. |
| Kentucky | Tons of talent, but the turnover scares me. As usual Cal's guys may start off slow, but look for this team to gel later on in the year. |
| Gonzaga | The Zags are back. Losing Jonathan Williams is huge, but they add a bunch of usable pieces that will have the Zags pushing towards a title. |
| Virginia | The starting five is terrifying for other teams. While the team is losing Devon Hall, Ty Jerome and Kyle Guy will be stepping up. |
| Tennessee | The Admiral reigns supreme this season. The Vols will benefit from keeping the squad together for another year. |
| Nevada | The team that made a run last year, having the twins back is huge and this team will be even deeper this season. |
| Kansas State | The same reasons as Tennessee, returning the starting lineup will benefit this underrated K-State squad |
| Virginia Tech | This team probably overachieved last season. Taking their core and giving it a years worth of play in the ACC will help them take the step |
