Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | I don't want to overreact but give them the championship |
| Kansas | Solid win against a good #11 Michigan State team |
| Gonzaga | Did what they were supposed to do, staying at #3 |
| Virginia | Cruised in two easy games, moving up a spot to replace UK |
| Auburn | Looked dominant against an experienced UW team |
| Nevada | Great on paper, didn't show any reason to get moved down |
| North Carolina | Not much to go on this early in the year and they didn't look great against Wofford. Not dropping too far since I respect the road game |
| Kentucky | Looked pretty bad against Duke, but its also Duke |
| Tennessee | Probably would've moved up a spot over Kentucky but they played a D2 school |
| Kansas State | No reason to change, took care of business |
| Michigan State | Lost to #2 Kansas but fought back in the second half and looked like they could compete |
| Syracuse | |
| Florida State | Beat a decent UF team pretty solidly |
| Villanova | |
| Nebraska | Bad opponents but absolutely dominated. I mean, 106-37? Looking forward to them playing someone real |
| Purdue | |
| Marquette | |
| UCLA | |
| Indiana | |
| Michigan | |
| Mississippi State | |
| Washington | Didn't look great against #5 Auburn but it was an early road game and I still like this team a lot. Dropped them a couple spots |
| West Virginia | Lost to #25 Buffalo at home |
| Miami (FL) | |
| Buffalo | Win @ #23 WVU is the most impressive road win of the year. Also looked good against St. Francis |
