Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Duke | I missed the last 2 ballots and hate that I did. Just kinda been busy this year with grad school (but I finish in December, woohoo!) |
| Kansas | I'm excited to be able to sit back and enjoy this season (once the chaos settles..). |
| Gonzaga | Anyway, sports. Duke #1 looking frightening. KU about to win another conference title. Gonzaga marching toward another inevitable one seed. |
| Virginia | It's hard to rank right now without having done my own preseason evaluation. Some of these might mirror what the media thinks |
| Michigan | This is a big jump. I would have ranked preseason probably 15ish, maybe higher because I tend to overrate previous year success. |
| North Carolina | Mich D is great and Iggy is really good. |
| Auburn | Auburn has good(?) win over Washington. |
| Tennessee | Good. Will love to see Auburn/Tennessee/UK duke it out |
| Nevada | just hoping they don't end up in Gonzaga's region in March. |
| Kentucky | Talented, surely will be constantly improving through the year. |
| Michigan State | could maybe be higher, only have that tough loss to KU |
| Virginia Tech | good win against purdue |
| Florida State | we'll see. Talent with Mann there. A team I haven't historically watched a ton and I hope to more this year. |
| Kansas State | not sold yet |
| Mississippi State | Sometimes not losing gets you moving up |
| Iowa | Love wins over UConn and Oregon. |
| LSU | really like win over Memphis |
| UCLA | another team that really have yet to see anything from |
| Clemson | |
| TCU | |
| Buffalo | like win over WVU |
| Wisconsin | Happ will earn some awards this year |
| Furman | 2 quality wins (I think?) |
| Oregon | still good |
| Texas | honorable mentions: maryland, ohio state, nebraska, purdue, nova |
