Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Michigan | Tier 1a I think any permutation of the top 4 teams is reasonable. |
| Virginia | |
| Duke | |
| Tennessee | |
| Gonzaga | Tier 1b |
| Michigan State | |
| Kansas | |
| Texas Tech | |
| Houston | Tier 2a |
| Virginia Tech | |
| Nevada | Tier 2b I would have had them much lower last week after that ugly loss, but most teens ranked teams sucked and nevada won @fresno |
| Buffalo | I really don't want to rank UB this high, but with all the losses this week it is hard not to |
| Oklahoma | No signature wins, only one good road win, but a ton of very solid wins. 3 losses, but two are as high quality as you can get. |
| Marquette | Tier 2c Finally got a good road win this week. 4 good wins. Losses aren't too bad. Still don't look nearly the same out of Fiserve though |
| Florida State | Loss to Duke at home isn't bad, but top 15 teams should win that at home. Ugly shooting at the end. 3 losses and no top wins. No road wins. |
| Maryland | Wins around the same quality as FSU, but their losses are a bit worse. They do have a good true road win unlike FSU though |
| Iowa | Very similar to above |
| Kentucky | Tier 3. Two very good wins. 1 somewhat notable win. Then a slew of meh and garbage tier home wins. 3 losses none of which are too bad |
| Ole Miss | Only two losses. Losses are ok but not top qUaliTy lOSseS. Has the Auburn home win like NC st and true road wins at vandy and miss st. |
| North Carolina | Better quality wins than anyone else in tier 2, but 4 losses is a lot to stomach especially the home blowout to louisville |
| NC State | Only two losses and neither are too bad, but their SOS is laughable and their signature win against Auburn is looking worse these days |
| Indiana | UNC with more excusable losses, but lesser quality wins |
| Villanova | Tier 4. Four losses two of which are QuALitY, two of which are pretty bad. 3 very good wins 4 decent wins |
| Temple | 3 losses, VCU neutral court being the worst. 1 very good win, several solid wins. |
| Auburn | Tier 5. Three losses, none too bad. No Q1 wins. No road wins. I understand ranking Lville, Nebraska, UCF, St Johns, Miss st instead |
