RankTeamReason
Michigan State University Logo Michigan State Clearly #1 at this point, fantastic wins and recently absolutely punished Binghampton
Villanova University Logo Villanova Hasn't won by fewer than 14 points, putting on a show thus far
Iowa State University Logo Iowa State Played fewer games than most teams this season, still a lot to prove but a lot of potential here
Duke University Logo Duke A lot of stars on this team. Grayson Allen is a top candidate for the Wooden Award
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Logo North Carolina With Marcus Paige back, UNC is rolling
University of Maryland, College Park Logo Maryland Lost on the road to a team who will remain a top-5 team all season
University of Oklahoma Logo Oklahoma TBH, haven't watched much of OU so far...
University of Kentucky Logo Kentucky Youth showing, lost on the road. Yes, hostile environment, but they played sloppy
University of Kansas Logo Kansas *insert "How old is Perry Ellis" joke here*
University of Virginia Logo Virginia Struggled to get offense flowing smoothly without Perrantes
Purdue University Logo Purdue Purdue looks hot, this team could make a serious run in the NCAAT
Xavier University Logo Xavier Blowing out Dayton was a statement win. Given their performance, they're on their way to a Big East title and top-10 ranking soon.
University of Arizona Logo Arizona Comeback win against Gonzaga gave this team the lift they needed after struggling early to Santa Clara and a good Providence team.
University of Miami (Florida) Logo Miami (FL) Stumbling to Northeastern, but they responded well with wins @ Nebraska and vs. Charlotte
West Virginia University Logo West Virginia They haven't played a challenging team yet, but when UVA comes to town, we'll see what this team is really made of.
University of Cincinnati Logo Cincinnati The Bearcats lost a close one at home against Butler, but this team is still good.
Providence College Logo Providence Great win @ Rhode Island. I can't wait for a Providence / Xavier matchup...
Vanderbilt University Logo Vanderbilt Two early losses to ranked foe already, doesn't look like they're going to challenge Kentucky in the SEC
Southern Methodist University Logo SMU They haven't really played anyone great. No, two Ivy League teams don't count.
University of Louisville Logo Louisville They played MSU so closely that they get a bump up. Then they blew out Grand Canyon.
University of Utah Logo Utah Other than being blown out by Miami, this team has looked all right. Not super impressed by their wins, though
Gonzaga University Logo Gonzaga This isn't last year's team. They may hang in the top-25, but this team won't go deep in the tournament this year.
Baylor University Logo Baylor One early loss at a then-ranked opponent, then beating a top 15 team, will fit you squarely in the top 25
Butler University Logo Butler (can't say I've watched any of Butler this season..)
Georgetown University Logo Georgetown The Hoyas have a few losses under their belts, but they're all on the road to top-5 teams (minus Radford). These guys are good.
