1 University of Kentucky Logo Kentucky Not sold on these young Cats yet. The game against MSU was more about how terrible MSU was. In time, we'll find out if it was really UK.
2 Villanova University Logo Villanova Great win at Purdue. Villanova just being Villanova.
3 University of Kansas Logo Kansas Toughest schedule of any top team by a good margin. Easily could be 3-0 or 1-2 against it, but thought they looked like a Top 3 team.
4 Duke University Logo Duke Tough to rank Duke. I still think they are probably the most talented team, but the team on the court today might not be Top 10.
5 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Logo North Carolina Nothing to note. They're good. But I don't think they are on the same tier as the 4 above them.
6 Indiana University Bloomington Logo Indiana May be weird with them behing KU & Duke, but I'm not sure 1 OT win against KU should jump them that high. Want to see more, I guess.
7 University of Louisville Logo Louisville Louisville doesn't feel like a Top 7 team, but I don't think there are more teams better than them. So, here we are I guess.
8 Xavier University Logo Xavier The against Missouri was not good. I dropped them a little, but I still have faith.
9 University of Virginia Logo Virginia A bit of a leap of faith without Nichols, but Tony Bennett will just do Tony Bennett things.
10 University of Oregon Logo Oregon Even with the loss to Baylor (okay, ass whooping), I still think this is a Top 10 team when healthy. They should be healthy moving forward.
11 University of California, Los Angeles Logo UCLA I have actually been a little impressed by UCLA. I did not expect to write that sentence this year.
12 Saint Mary's College of California Logo Saint Mary's What can I say? The Gaels have looked really good. Winning at Dayton is one of the 10 (5?) best wins of the season so far.
13 University of Texas at Austin Logo Texas Huge leap of faith. Struggled in their first game against Incarnate Word. I still believe. We'll find out more in this upcoming stretch.
14 Syracuse University Logo Syracuse Moved up a little. Impressed by the Monmouth margin of victory, but how good is Monmouth? I don't know.
15 West Virginia University Logo West Virginia WVU hasn't really done anything we can judge them on yet. They moved up 3 for me, but that's just because other teams suck, I guess.
16 University of Michigan Logo Michigan I did not think I would have Michigan here. And no, this is not supposed to be Michigan State.
17 Purdue University Logo Purdue No shame losing to Nova. Almost following that up with a home loss to Georgia State? That'll hurt.
18 Creighton University Logo Creighton Good win against Wisconsin. Enough to be ranked, for sure.
19 Iowa State University Logo Iowa State Tough to know how good they are yet due to their schedule. Still major concerns in the post. I want to see them beat a team that can rebound
20 University of Wisconsin-Madison Logo Wisconsin Loss to Creighton hurts, but it's a road loss. Not the end of the world. We'll learn more in a week and a half against Syracuse.
21 University of Rhode Island Logo URI Loss to Duke is fine. Looked very good against Cincy.
22 University of Florida Logo Florida Moved down a little, but we haven't really learned anything about Florida yet.
23 University of Cincinnati Logo Cincinnati I think the loss to URI was more about URI. I still think this is a Top 25 team.
24 Ohio State University Logo Ohio State Probably don't deserve to be here, but I had them #13 preseason and it's tough to take them completely out without a loss.
25 Gonzaga University Logo Gonzaga Why didn't I have Gonzaga ranked preseason? I don't know. Why only #25 now? Well, I'm not sold on SDSU. I want to see more.
