RankTeamReason
University of Virginia Logo Virginia (LW: 1) Should Hoos fans be worried about allowing a whopping 30 points to Pittsburgh in the 2nd half???
Michigan State University Logo Michigan State (LW: 3) Some much needed reason for celebration from Spartan fans; an outright Big Ten regular season title.
Duke University Logo Duke (LW: 6) There’s something to say about how quickly Coach K was able to turn Duke’s defence into a passable unit that can support the offence
Xavier University Logo Xavier (LW: 5) Xavier is in great shape to win the Big East, in spite of their two blowout losses at the hands of 2nd place Villanova.
Villanova University Logo Villanova (LW: 2) This is the 3rd straight week that the Wildcats have dropped a game, and the illusion of consistency may have been just that.
University of Kansas Logo Kansas (LW: 7) I’m still dumbfounded at how this streak was even possible. Props to Bill Self and all the KU staff and players for this achievement
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Logo North Carolina (LW: 8) All of sudden the Tar Heels are one of the hottest teams in the country, and at the right time of the year.
Purdue University Logo Purdue (LW: 10) The question for the Boilers now becomes can they keep winning if they end up running into OSU (and potentially MSU) next week.
Texas Tech University Logo Texas Tech (LW: 4) The important thing for Texas Tech is that they need to bounce back against WVU and TCU this week.
University of Cincinnati Logo Cincinnati (LW: 11) If they can notch a road win against a top 15 opponent, it would quiet a lot of the Bearcats’ doubters.
Wichita State University Logo Wichita State (LW: 13) The Shockers could be peaking at the right time, yet they still need to prove their strength when Cincinnati comes to town Sunday
Auburn University Logo Auburn (LW: 9) The Gators can’t seem to decide if they want to be good or not. Fortunately for Auburn, no one will fault them for the loss.
University of Tennessee Logo Tennessee (LW: 16) The Vols currently hold the 5th best strength of schedule in the country, which will certainly be talked about come Sunday
University of Rhode Island Logo URI (LW: 15) Not much room for disappointment on the Rams’ resume, even with the high RPI. Luckily they tend not to disappoint.
West Virginia University Logo West Virginia (LW: 17) Oh, what could have been for WVU this year. If either KU game doesn't end in a blown lead, then they're tied for 1st in the Big 12.
Ohio State University Logo Ohio State (LW: 19) After losing twice to Penn State already this year, Ohio State will face them again at MSG next Friday.
University of Michigan Logo Michigan (LW: 21) It’s not often to see a team up 54-24, on the road, in a power conference, against a team with a winning record.
University of Nevada, Reno Logo Nevada (LW: 20) At this point, it's hard to see Nevada out of the tournament, even with 3 losses to end the season.
Clemson University Logo Clemson (LW: 14) It could have easily been a 4 game losing streak, but Clemson turned in on a bit in the 2nd half against GT.
Gonzaga University Logo Gonzaga (LW: 22) Gonzaga can help their resume this week so long as they meet the Gaels in the WCC tournament final.
University of Arizona Logo Arizona (LW: 12) As long as Lorenzo Romar is in charge of coaching this team, don’t be expecting much. Just ask Washington fans.
University of Kentucky Logo Kentucky (LW: NR) Despite a strong and balanced SEC this year, I doubt anyone wants to be in the same section as Kentucky in the upcoming SEC tourney
North Carolina State University Logo NC State (LW: NR) This team's season has been quite a rollercoaster, and as of now they at quite a high.
Creighton University Logo Creighton (LW: NR) Not many people expected this Bluejays team to be this solid with Martin Krampelj out for the year.
Texas Christian University Logo TCU (LW: NR) TCU’s first trip to the NCAA tournament in 20 years is all but clinched. Next 5: Houston. Kansas State, USC, MTSU, Arkansas
