hickeysbat's Ballot for Week 4 of 2018-19| Rank | Team | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 1 |
Gonzaga
|
Great showing out in Maui. Any of these top 4 teams could be the best in the country, but Gonzaga has looked the most complete. |
| 2 |
Kansas
|
Probably has the best resume in the country right now with wins over my #5 and #7 teams, plus a win over a good Marquette squad. |
| 3 |
Duke
|
Tough loss to the Zags, but this team still looks great and has a lot of room for improvement as the season goes on. |
| 4 |
Virginia
|
Good win over Wisconsin, but imo teams are figuring out how to attack the defense. |
| 5 |
Tennessee
|
Lost to Kansas, but they are still an intimidating team. |
| 6 |
Michigan
|
Dominating wins over Nova and PC are impressive. Best defense in the country puts them in my top 6. |
| 7 |
Michigan State
|
Have looked great, just not elite. Wins over Texas and UCLA are solid. Not much else to say. |
| 8 |
Auburn
|
They played Duke close and have solid wins over X and Zona. Impressive guard play could bring them an SEC title. |
| 9 |
North Carolina
|
Wasn't expecting a loss to Texas, but they somewhat redeemed themselves by cruising past UCLA. |
| 10 |
Virginia Tech
|
I don't really know what to make of this team. They beat Purdue, so I'll slot them in at 10. |
| 11 |
Nevada
|
An exciting and very good team. They just haven't played anybody and have a weak schedule. They will be a question mark all year. |
| 12 |
Wisconsin
|
Happ is my pick for NPOY. They've looked great so far and hung in with UVA. How well Trice plays will determine their season imo. |
| 13 |
Kentucky
|
Since getting obliterated by Duke, they've gone undefeated.... and have looked just okay. UNC game will give me a better idea. |
| 14 |
Texas Tech
|
Undefeated with a dominating win over a very good Nebraska squad. I've got them finishing 2nd in the B12. |
| 15 |
Villanova
|
Bounce back performance this week. More of a grind it out team than recent Nova squads. |
| 16 |
Iowa
|
The win over Oregon was impressive. They have yet to have a bad game. Wisky and MSU games will be interesting next month. |
| 17 |
Oregon
|
I love Bol Bol. Really fun player to watch. Oregon is my pick to win the PAC. |
| 18 |
Florida State
|
Hung in there with Nova. One of the tougher squads in the country. |
| 19 |
Ohio State
|
Undefeated with good road kills over Cinci and Creighton. |
| 20 |
Buffalo
|
Massinburg is fun to watch. Bold prediction: they go undefeated this season. |
| 21 |
Texas
|
Took down UNC, which is great. I haven't watched this team yet, so they are a bit of a question mark. |
| 22 |
Creighton
|
Beat a good Clemson team. Will be part of 7 teams competing for the Big East crown: Nova, Creighton, Butler, St. John's, Marquette, PC, X. |
| 23 |
Kansas State
|
Undefeated against weak competition, but I can't say they have looked impressive. |
| 24 |
Furman
|
Not sure they are actually this good, but they have earned the spot. |
| 25 |
Purdue
|
Nobody else to put here. |
