RankTeamReason
University of Kansas Logo Kansas 5-0. Wins over Michigan State, Tennessee, and Marquette on neutral floors.
Gonzaga University Logo Gonzaga 6-0. Defeated Duke in the Maui final, and a decent Arizona team in the semis.
University of Virginia Logo Virginia 6-0. Won the B A D B O Y M O W E R S Battle 4 Atlantis championship over Wisconsin.
Duke University Logo Duke 5-1. Lost to Gonzaga, but still has great wins over Auburn and Kentucky. SDSU isn't that bad either.
University of Nevada, Reno Logo Nevada 6-0. No significant wins so far (maybe BYU?), but I was very high on this team in the preseason.
Michigan State University Logo Michigan State 5-1. Only loss is to Kansas, and has good wins over Texas and UCLA.
University of Tennessee Logo Tennessee 4-1. Had Kansas on the ropes before Grant Williams fouled out, which led to a loss in OT. Also has a win over an okay Louisville squad.
Auburn University Logo Auburn 5-1. Gave Duke a fight in the Maui semifinals before losing by 6. Has some decent wins over a few high-major teams already.
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Logo Virginia Tech 5-0. Won the Charleston Classic title over Purdue last week.
University of Michigan Logo Michigan 6-0. Villanova winning the Advocare Invitational really helps them out.
University of Texas at Austin Logo Texas 5-1. Upset UNC in Vegas and also has a decent win over Arkansas. Only loss is to Michigan State.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Logo North Carolina 6-1. Coby White did his best to try to prevent a loss to Texas, but UNC came up short. They managed a win over UCLA the next day however.
Kansas State University Logo Kansas State 6-0. The Wildcats are another team that benefits from preseason hype, as they are still yet to play a quality opponent.
University of Iowa Logo Iowa 5-0. The Hawkeyes already have two good wins over Oregon and UConn, and should keep finding more.
Ohio State University Logo Ohio State 6-0. Cincinnati winning the Emerald Coast Classic and Creighton upsetting Clemson both benefit the Buckeyes.
University of Wisconsin-Madison Logo Wisconsin 5-1. Looked very impressive in wins at Xavier and against Oklahoma in the Atlantis semifinal. Only loss is to Virginia in the final.
Purdue University Logo Purdue 5-1. They have a decent win over Davidson and a close loss to Virginia Tech but that's about it.
University of Kentucky Logo Kentucky 5-1. The only meaningful thing on their resume is a 34-point loss to Duke on the first day of the season.
University at Buffalo Logo Buffalo 5-0. They have already established themselves as this year's scary mid-major that just has to keeping winning the games they have scheduled.
Arizona State University Logo Arizona State 5-0. Defeated preseason-ranked Mississippi State and handed Utah State their only loss to win the MGM Main Event.
Texas Tech University Logo Texas Tech 6-0. Defeated a Nebraska team I had preseason-ranked in the Hall of Fame Classic final.
University of Arkansas Logo Arkansas 4-1. Only loss was to Texas on opening night in OT. Beat a quality Indiana team at home.
University of Oregon Logo Oregon 4-1. Lost to Iowa and beat Syracuse I guess. Look, they were ranked highly in the preseason.
University of Connecticut Logo UConn 5-1. Another team that beat Syracuse and lost to Iowa, I guess. Except they weren't ranked in the preseason.
Creighton University Logo Creighton 5-1. Beat a preseason-ranked Clemson team, but did lose to The Ohio State University at home.
