RankTeamReason
University of Kansas Logo Kansas (Prev. 2) Not only did Kansas beat a very experienced top 5 Tennessee team, but that MSU team is looking better every week.
Gonzaga University Logo Gonzaga (Prev. 3) Praise the lord the beast has been slain, giving Gonzaga the number 2 slot
University of Nevada, Reno Logo Nevada (Prev. 4) Nevada is looking scary good, I think the harder half of their non-con will prove this ranking correct.
Duke University Logo Duke (Prev. 1) Duke lost, but they only lost by 3, and to the number 3 team. Nothing to worry about Blue Devils.
University of Virginia Logo Virginia (Prev. 8) Virginia still looking pretty dang good, that defense is still stifling. Got a good win over Wisconsin.
Auburn University Logo Auburn (Prev. 6) Auburn lost, but they lost to a Duke squad with at least 3 lottery picks. They drop, not hard though.
Michigan State University Logo Michigan State (Prev. 11) Dismantled a 17th ranked UCLA squad, then came back to a comfortable win against a Texas team that just beat UNC.
University of Tennessee Logo Tennessee (Prev. 7) Missed an opportunity in loss to Kansas, but still a solid squad of experienced players.
University of Michigan Logo Michigan (Prev. 9) Still haven’t lost yet. This team will get a serious test against UNC this week.
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Logo North Carolina (Prev. 5) May have lost to a hot handed Texas team, but recovered nicely in win over UCLA.
University of Kentucky Logo Kentucky (Prev. 10) Didn’t lose so they didn’t drop, and no one behind did anything exceptional.
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Logo Virginia Tech (Prev. 12) Still undefeated
Kansas State University Logo Kansas State (Prev. 13) See VT *I'll say it here because there's no space elsewhere. This week was weird, alot of teams 15-25 lost. Rankings moved alot*
Florida State University Logo Florida State (Prev. 14) May have lost (to the defending champs), but so did the teams right behind them. Plus they beat LSU.
University of Iowa Logo Iowa (Prev. 17) Teams ahead of them lost.
University of Oregon Logo Oregon (Prev. 19) See Iowa.
University at Buffalo Logo Buffalo (Prev. 23) See Iowa
Mississippi State University Logo Mississippi State (Prev. 15) Lost to ASU, but rebounded against St. Mary’s.
Ohio State University Logo Ohio State (Prev. 24) Didn't lose.
Purdue University Logo Purdue (Prev. 25) Carsen Edwards finally had his off-night with 19 points and 5 assists… gasp.
Indiana University Bloomington Logo Indiana (Prev. Unranked) Gave a big one to Marquette a week and should have won against Marquette.
Furman University Logo Furman (Prev. Unranked) Undefeated with wins on the road versus Loyola and Villanova.
University of Texas at Austin Logo Texas (Prev. Unranked) Has a proven go-to guy in Kerwin Roach with win over 5th ranked North Carolina, loss to MSU pushed them down.
Villanova University Logo Villanova (Prev. Unranked) Bounce back wins against Oklahoma State and number 13 Florida State.
University of Wisconsin-Madison Logo Wisconsin (Prev. Unranked) Ethan Happ has been good as ever with an improved supporting cast, a loss to an elite Virginia doesn’t mean they’re bad.
